What If…? is an NZSAE storytelling project designed to shine a light on the often unseen but essential role associations play in New Zealand. 

Through a series of thought-provoking scenarios, the project asks what our communities, industries and professions might look like if associations did not exist, if government only heard the loudest voices, or if every organisation had to start again on its own. 

The series is part of the wider Associations Matter campaign and is designed to help members, stakeholders and decision-makers better understand the value associations bring — from setting standards and supporting professional development, to giving sectors a collective voice and helping organisations work through change.
