The New Zealand Society of Actuaries (NZSA) is the professional body for actuaries in New Zealand, representing around 400 members across insurance, banking, investment, government and consulting.

We are seeking expressions of interest and formal proposals from established New Zealand service agencies or highly experienced contractors to partner with us to manage our operational hub, as we modernise our systems, strengthen member services, and evolve how we work.

About the opportunity

This is a comprehensive, outsourced business-to-business contract for services. The successful provider will act as the backbone of our organisation, partnering with our Chief Executive, Council and volunteer committees ensuring seamless delivery across four core operational pillars. This contract can be delivered remotely from anywhere in New Zealand.

Key services required

  • Secretariat, governance support and administration: Council support, meetings/minutes, records and compliance. 
  • Membership management: system management, onboarding, renewals, help desk. 
  • Communications, digital, design, website and events:  member communications, website updates, graphic design, and webinar/event logistics. 
  • Finance support: accounts payable/receivable, monthly tracking, year-end reporting. 

We are looking for a provider who can deliver strong day-to-day operational support while contributing to system improvement, automation and the practical use of emerging technologies, including AI. We aim to build an enduring partnership that grows with the Society.

What we are looking for

  • An established agency, consultancy, or senior contractor team with a proven track record in association or corporate management.
  • High digital literacy and experience with modern CRMs, content management systems, financial software, and system integration, automation, and continuous improvement 
  • Exceptional communication and service skills.
  • Strong governance and secretariat capability.
  • Communications, digital, design and website management expertise. 
  • Proven membership services and administration capability.
